Cantina Matteo Rigoni is also a place to stop, taste, and live an experience.
The garden is cool, ancient, enclosed between stone walls, rich in plants that offer shade, colour and fragrance.
The tasting room shelters us from the winter cold, with the wood-burning stove, like the ones our grandmothers used, exposed beams, the stone wall echoing the outer walls. A beautiful glass panel separates us from the winery and fills our small room with light and the spirit of wine.
We organise guided tours of the vineyards and winery, tastings in the room within the historic residence, and bespoke private events.
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc fermented in amphora. Fruity and tannic red, with good structure. Can be drunk young or left to age.
Skin-macerated Sauvignon, fermented in amphora. Amber-coloured white, structured and complex, with pronounced minerality. Can be drunk young or left to age.
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Fermentation in amphora, ageing in tonneaux and concrete. Full-bodied red, suited to prolonged ageing.
Sauvignon, part of which is aged in barrique. Structured white that favours minerality and sapidity. Suited to ageing.
Merlot vinified as a rosé. First vintage of production, 2024. Not produced every year. A rosé of character and elegance that can evoke the rosé wines of southern France.
Manzoni Bianco. Limited production of 700 bottles. Delicate aromatics with a mineral note.
We produce natural wines that reflect the character of the terroir and the identity of each vintage. Our production comprises two distinct lines, that is, two families of wines, both natural, but with different styles and approaches.
The Rospič and Balù line follows a more modern style: spontaneous fermentation in terracotta amphorae, without the use of selected yeasts, ageing in amphora and concrete. Wines that express fruit and terroir directly.
The Rossorigoni and Biancorigoni line represents our more classic approach: spontaneous fermentation in amphora followed by ageing in small wooden barrels (never new) and concrete. More structured wines, suited to prolonged ageing, with a more traditional style.
The range is completed by the Sparkling Wine Méthode Champenoise and some special reserves.
The winery opens its doors for visits, purchases and tastings, by appointment. A journey that begins in the vineyards, passes through the winery and ends in the tasting room housed in part of the historic residence, recently restored.
Every visit is personally guided. We explain how we work, show the vineyards, the amphorae and the tanks where the wine takes shape, and then we taste the wines accompanied by local products.
A journey that begins in the vineyards, passes through the cellar, and ends in the tasting room located in a recently renovated section of the historic residence.
It is also possible to come to the winery at any time, preferably with a phone call in advance, to purchase wines directly from the producer. In this case you can use the shop where the vintages currently on sale are always available, and sometimes a few surprises created especially for our customers.
Tastings, on the other hand, take place in the room within the historic residence. It is a moment to taste the wines accompanied by local products, ask questions, understand the differences between vintages and deepen one’s knowledge of the Colli Berici.
We also organise private events: birthdays, anniversaries, corporate meetings. The historic house and its natural setting offer an intimate and evocative atmosphere, ideal for special occasions.
