COOKIE POLICY

1 – Types of cookies

The website https://www.matteorigoni.it/ uses cookies to make the user’s browsing experience easier and more intuitive: cookies are small text strings used to store certain information that may relate to the user, their preferences or the device used to access the Internet (computer, tablet or mobile phone), and they are used mainly to adapt the operation of the website to the user’s expectations, offering a more personalised browsing experience and storing the choices previously made.

A cookie consists of a small set of data transferred to the user’s browser by a web server, and it can be read only by the server that carried out the transfer. It is not executable code and it does not transmit viruses.

Cookies do not record any personal information, and any identifiable data will not be stored. If you wish, you can prevent some or all cookies from being saved. However, in that case your use of the website and of the services offered may be impaired. To proceed without changing the cookie options, simply continue browsing and accept the technical and necessary cookies; to set your cookie preferences, click the round blue icon at the bottom left of every page of the website.

The types of cookies and whether they are present on this website are set out below:

2 – Technical cookies (currently in use unless disabled via the banner)

There are numerous technologies used to store information on the user’s computer, which is then collected by websites. The best known and most widely used of these is HTML cookies. They are used for browsing purposes and to make it easier for the user to access and use the website. They are necessary for the transmission of communications over an electronic network, or for the provider to deliver the service requested by the customer.

The settings for managing or disabling cookies may vary depending on the internet browser used. In any event, the user can manage cookies, or request that they be generally disabled or deleted, by changing the settings of their internet browser. Such disabling may slow down or prevent access to certain parts of the website.

The use of technical cookies allows the website to be used safely and efficiently.

Cookies placed in the browser and re-transmitted through Google Analytics or through similar statistics services are technical cookies only if they are used for the purpose of optimising the website directly by the website owner, who may collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and on how they visit the website. Under these conditions, the same rules on privacy information and consent that apply to technical cookies also apply to analytics (statistical) cookies.

In terms of duration, a distinction can be drawn between temporary session cookies, which are deleted automatically at the end of the browsing session and serve to identify the user and thus avoid the need to log in on every page visited, and permanent cookies, which remain active on the computer until they expire or are deleted by the user.

Session cookies may be installed in order to allow access to, and continued use of, the restricted area of the portal as an authenticated user.

They are not stored persistently but only for the duration of the browsing session, until the browser is closed, and they disappear when the browser is closed. Their use is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers consisting of random numbers generated by the server, which are necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the website.

3 – Third-party cookies (not currently in use on this website)

In terms of origin, a distinction is drawn between cookies sent to the browser directly by the website being visited and third-party cookies, which are sent to the computer by other websites and not by the one being visited.

Permanent cookies are often third-party cookies.

Most third-party cookies are tracking cookies, used to identify online behaviour, understand users’ interests and thus personalise advertising offers for them.

Third-party analytics cookies may be installed. These are sent by the domains of the aforementioned third parties, which are external to the website.

Third-party analytics cookies are used to gather information on user behaviour on https://www.matteorigoni.it/. This information is gathered anonymously, in order to monitor performance and improve the usability of the website. Third-party profiling cookies are used to create user profiles, in order to deliver advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by those users.

The use of these cookies is governed by the rules laid down by the third parties themselves; users are therefore invited to read the privacy notices and the instructions for managing or disabling cookies published on the relevant web pages.

4 – Profiling/marketing cookies (not currently in use on this website)

Profiling cookies are those intended to create user profiles, and they are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the internet.

Where these types of cookies are used, the user will be required to give explicit consent.

5 – Help with configuring your browser
